The Progressive Democratic Students Union (PDSU) has demanded the immediate cancellation of recognitions for corporate and private schools in Jaipur that violate government regulations.
On Wednesday, a delegation from PDSU submitted a memorandum to the office of the District Education Officer (MEO) in Jaipur, urging immediate action against the commercial practices of private educational institutions.
PDSU District Vice President Sikandar stated that these institutions are abandoning moral values and operating purely on a commercial basis, misleading parents under the pretext of admissions and charging exorbitant fees.
He further alleged that school managements are coercing parents to purchase books, uniforms, ties, belts, and shoes from them, which is a violation of ethical practices.
Sikandar expressed concern over middle-class and low-income parents struggling to afford these additional costs and demanded that education department officials conduct field inspections and impose regulations on these schools.
